Awoke around 4:30 but did not get up...

Waited till 6:30...

Worked at the laptop until Meg the Black Cat came up to try and get me to come downstairs and open some presents...

A bright Xmas morning...

It was after 10 by the time we were ready...

Meg came out of it empty pawed...

...while your correspondent...

...and the Exec Producer fared slightly better...

Listening to newly received items before driving over to my mum's around midday...

..and took her on to sister Sheila's for celebrations...

Grand nephew Kerr liked his myriad stuff...

..but didn't seem to sure re Senior's hat...

Tattooed nephew Andy handed out more presents...

..and Kerr was soon outside trying out his slightly too big but he will grow into it bike...

Dogs Ben...

...and Cassie got in on the act...

...the latter scoffing some tasty morsels meant for the gathered humans...

Niece-in-law Tori demonstrated a UFO toy to Kerr...

...and old Xmas Top of the Pops were watched/listened to...

All too soon it was approaching three and we headed off, leaving the family to it...

Over to Jane and Bobby's for Xmas dinner...

Preceded by more present opening...

...including a calendar of our Alpine holiday for Anne's mum - she visited the same places back in 1984...

Everyone had a shot of the Xmas Pudding hat...

Kitty's face says it all really...

A tip top meal as always from Jane and Bobby - fillet steaks sent down from Orkney, preceded by home made pates and followed by home made chocolate roulade...

Yum...

Trivial Pursuit was soon produced, the family version, with nephew Olly just beating his Uncle David and no more...

I took defeat well... 

Apparently humans don't have more teeth than horses...

Who knew??

A walk home and back at Crispycat Towers by 10, in time to watch an excellent Dr Who Xmas Special, including the introduction of Peter Capaldi...

I love Dr Who - I'll miss Matt Smith of course but it's time to move on...

To bed, exhausted...
